Early Access
We’re working to give everyone access as soon as possible while ensuring Watchfully remains stable and reliable. Invitations are sent on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you’d prefer to be removed from the invite list, you can remove your pending account from the access-pending page, or email [email protected] for help.
Permissions And Access
Default Google identity permissions
Watchfully always needs Google sign-in identity permissions so we can authenticate your account and associate your Watchfully data with the correct user.

Optional YouTube permissions
Optional permissions are requested only when you use features that need them.
YouTube read-only access
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly
Used to load your YouTube subscriptions so you can add channels to your Watchfully library.
How Watchfully uses these permissions
- Identity permissions are used for sign-in and account association only.
- `youtube.readonly` is used to read your subscriptions for channel import and related library flows.
- Watchfully does not post to YouTube, modify your subscriptions, or manage your Google account settings.
- Optional Google permissions are surfaced in Watchfully before they are requested.
How permission management works
- You can grant optional Google permissions from Settings, onboarding, and channel-import flows.
- Google may show your existing Watchfully permissions alongside any new permission being requested.
- Google does not support revoking one optional Watchfully scope in isolation for this app.
- Revoking optional access in Watchfully disconnects Google access for the app, signs you out, and requires sign-in again.
- After signing back in, the default identity permissions will be requested again, and optional permissions can be re-granted only when needed.
